This recorder is designed for installations that already have coaxial wiring in place and want to record in 4K without re-running cable. It accepts four types of analog camera signals: CVBS (standard definition legacy cameras), AHD, HD-TVI, and HD-CVI. Connect these cameras directly to the BNC ports on the back of the recorder. No signal converter or adapter is needed.
Supports Both Analog and IP Cameras
The CAMIUS 8 Channel DVR Recorder is a hybrid DVR that supports both analog and IP security cameras. It is an ideal solution for upgrading an existing analog CCTV system while adding IP cameras as your security needs grow.
By default, the recorder supports 8 analog camera channels and 4 IP camera channels. If you no longer need an analog channel, you can switch it to IP mode in the recorder settings. Converting all 8 analog channels increases the recorder’s capacity to support up to 12 IP cameras.
Disabling analog channels also increases the available IP camera recording bandwidth from 32 Mbps to 96 Mbps, allowing the recorder to support additional high-resolution IP cameras.

Compatible with Analog and IP Security Cameras
The Camius 4K DVR is compatible with analog cameras, supporting CVBS, AHD, CVI, and TVI mode with up to 8 megapixels resolutions.
Combined with Camius 2K and 4K IP cameras, this DVR unlocks advanced features like smart motion detection, intelligent sound monitoring, PIR detection with deterrence, and AI functions. Please note that cameras from other manufacturers may have limited functionality compared to Camius cameras.
What recording options does it have?
The recorder saves footage on a schedule, continuously, or when triggered by detection events. Detection types include standard motion detection with adjustable sensitivity zones, AI person detection, AI vehicle detection, sound detection, video tampering detection, perimeter line crossing, and perimeter intrusion. Each event sends a push alert to the Camius mobile app.
Expandable Storage Options
This unit does not include a hard drive. One internal SATA bay accepts drives up to 10TB. If you want a pre-installed hard drive, choose the 3TB, 4TB, or 8TB versions from the 8 channel DVR recorders collection.
Video output and monitoring
HDMI output delivers 4K resolution to any compatible monitor or TV. VGA output delivers 1080p for a second display. The Spot Out port provides a separate 1080p feed. All three outputs operate simultaneously.
Smart Motion Detection
With Camius DVRs, you can activate Smart Motion Detection to capture video when movement is detected. You can choose the target type, such as motion, vehicle, pedestrian, or both. Set up specific motion detection areas and customize your Camius analog and IP camera recording schedule.
AI Detection for More Accurate Alerts
You can benefit from Intelligent Detection features with the Camius business and home security DVR. This advanced technology goes beyond basic video motion detection by allowing you to create customized zones for detecting movement patterns and specific locations.
When triggered, Intelligent Detection sends push notifications, records video in a distinct color, and adds tags for easy identification. Additionally, Camius 4K analog cameras (FB4KAOC) offer Sound Detection and Video Tampering detection in Intelligent mode, further enhancing your security system.

Ports, Network, and Email Notifications for DVR Recorder
The DVR for security cameras offers eight wired audio inputs and one audio output (RCA). It also has 8 wired alarm inputs, one alarm output, and an RS485 port for added flexibility.
Regarding network connectivity, the DVR supports protocols like DHCP, PPPoE, UPNP, and RTSP. You can access the DVR remotely using the built-in P2P code for on-demand viewing. Additionally, you can set up email notifications and customize your schedule for convenient monitoring.
User Management for Enhanced Security
With a Camius surveillance DVR, you can easily set up multiple users and customize their permissions and settings.
