How to reset IP camera of R series
This guide explains how to reset Camius IP cameras that have a reset button. The following camera models are applicable:
There are three ways to reset the IP camera to default (factory) settings:
- by pressing a reset button
- by loading default settings from the IP cameras’ web browser interface
- through the Camius NVR or DVR
Option 1 – Resetting the IP camera using the camera’s reset button
If you have forgotten your IP camera’s password, you can reset it by following these steps:
- Locate the reset button on the camera.
- Remove the ‘RESET/micro SD’ cover and use a paper clip to press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
- The camera will restart, and you can then set a new password. If you reset a camera connected to the Camius NVR’s PoE port, you do not need to set a new password for the camera.
- The NVR will assign a unique IP address to the camera, allowing you to access and control it through the NVR only.
