  1. Use your DVR’s HDMI interface to access the menu.
  2. Navigate to Setup >> System >> General >> Output Configuration.
  3. From the Video Output dropdown, select SPOT-OUT.
  4. Check the CVBS SPOT box.
  5. Choose either Dynamic or Static.

FAQs on how to set up a spot monitor on a DVR

The CVBS output is a standard definition BNC video output on the DVR used to connect a secondary spot monitor. It lets you display specific camera feeds on a separate screen without interrupting the main display.

Dynamic mode cycles through selected channels automatically in sequence. Static mode displays a fixed set of channels in a multi-window layout that does not change.

In Dynamic mode, only channels selected in the Spot Poll Setting will appear in the rotation. Go to Setup >> System >> General >> Output Configuration >> Spot Poll Setting and confirm those channels are included.
