Why Wi-Fi HaLow Reaches Where Standard Wi-Fi Cameras Fail
Standard 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi cameras lose signal quickly when cameras are far from the router or when walls, trees, and outdoor structures sit between the camera and the access point. This is the most common reason consumer Wi-Fi cameras disconnect or fail to record reliably on larger properties.
Camius wireless cameras use Wi-Fi HaLow at 900MHz. Lower frequencies travel farther and pass through common obstacles more effectively than higher-frequency Wi-Fi. The result is a stable signal across distances and through materials that cause standard Wi-Fi cameras to drop connection.

For continuous 24-hour recording, connect the camera to a power outlet using the included USB charger. The battery stays inside the camera either way. Solar panels are available as an accessory. Solar panels extend battery life between recharges on motion-triggered cameras. Solar panels do not support continuous recording.
What the Camius Wireless DVR Camera System Includes
Each Camius wireless security camera system with DVR ships with an 8-channel NVR and a pre-installed hard drive. Storage starts at 3TB and goes up to 4TB depending on the kit. Systems start with 2 cameras and expand up to 8 cameras by pairing additional WF4KC2 cameras without replacing the NVR. Each camera records at 4K resolution. The system stores from from 2 weeks to 1 months of recording depends on the recording mode: motion-triggered or continuous footage, depending on storage size and activity level.
Camera Features: Detection, Deterrence, and Audio
Camius 4K wireless cameras detect people and general motion as separate settings. The pedestrian setting triggers recording and alerts only when a person is detected. This reduces false alerts from animals, passing cars, and wind. Each camera includes built-in lights and a siren that activate on detection. Two-way audio works through the Camius View app on iOS and Android. Night vision uses color in low light and switches to infrared in complete darkness up to 100 feet. Infrared and color night vision do not operate at the same time.
Remote Access and Local Playback
The Camius View app on iOS and Android gives remote access to live video, recorded clips, and camera controls from any location with an internet connection.
