No, Camius outdoor security cameras do not require Wi-Fi to operate. Our PoE (Power over Ethernet) camera systems connect directly to a Camius NVR using a single Ethernet cable for both power and video transmission. This provides a stable, hardwired solution that functions independently of any Wi-Fi network.
For remote viewing or mobile alerts, an internet connection is required, but not necessarily Wi-Fi. The system only needs to be connected to a router or modem via Ethernet. This makes Camius camera systems ideal for both residential and commercial locations where Wi-Fi is limited or not preferred.
No subscription is required for any of Camius security camera systems. All features, including remote access, live view, playback, and storage, are included with the system.
Yes. Local viewing through a directly connected monitor or TV is available. However, the internet is required for remote viewing and alerts.
