Built-In PoE Ports for 8 IP Cameras
This 8 port PoE NVR powers each camera through the same Ethernet cable used for video. Run one Cat5e or Cat6 cable from each camera location to one PoE port on the back of the recorder. The NVR powers the camera and starts recording. No separate power adapter is needed at any camera location.
Camius PoE cameras are detected automatically when plugged in. Third-party ONVIF-compliant IP cameras are also supported. The installation guide included in the box walks through each step. Camius 8 Channel NVR system is optimized for Camius PoE IP cameras. A single Ethernet cable is used to deliver power, video, audio, and infrared streams, as well as bidirectional commands and alerts. Using Power Over Ethernet with IP cameras and NVRs helps centralize power for the entire security system, making it more reliable. Cable distance can be up to 328 feet, and cable type can be CAT5 and up.
Camius security systems utilize H.265 video compression, offering superior video clarity, efficient disk usage, and optimized network bandwidth. By reducing file size and maintaining high-quality streams, H.265 enables higher video performance while minimizing bandwidth requirements.
4K Resolution for IP Camera Systems

AI Human and Vehicle Detection
It allows users to set detection areas under setup for IP wired security cameras and NVR recorders; a schedule is available for detection hours and days. Motion and Sound detection trigger recording and other actions on your Camius 8 Channel NVR. You can set motion recording as the only recording method to save disk space, or activate motion recording alongside normal 24/7 recording.
How AI Detection Works on the IPVAULT1128PR
This NVR 8 camera system runs on-device AI to separate people and vehicles from background movement such as wind, trees, or shifting light. When a person or vehicle enters the configured detection zone, the system sends a push notification to the Camius View app within seconds. False alerts from non-human movement are reduced significantly compared to standard motion detection.
Sound detection is built in on channels connected to cameras with microphones. The NVR logs audio events when connected cameras detect alarms, glass breaking, or sudden loud noise.
Line Crossing and Perimeter Intrusion detection are also available and are configured through Setup in the NVR menu. All AI detection features are included with the purchase price at no extra cost.
No Subscription Fees or Cloud Accounts
Camius PoE NVR 8 Channel system offers an innovative Time-Lapse recording feature, allowing users to capture and store images at regular intervals. The Camius View app for iOS and Android connects directly to the IPVAULT1128PR over your home or business network. Live view, event playback, PTZ camera control, and notification settings are accessible from the app.

What is an NVR for IP cameras?
An NVR, or Network Video Recorder, is a device storing video footage from IP cameras. Unlike a DVR used with analog cameras, an NVR receives compressed digital video data over an Ethernet network. Each IP camera handles its own encoding, and the NVR stores, manages, and plays back the footage. An 8 channel NVR PoE like the IPVAULT1128PR also powers each camera through the same Ethernet cable using Power over Ethernet, eliminating separate power adapters at each camera.
Can you add more cameras to an 8 channel NVR?
