Can you add more cameras to an 8 channel NVR?
An 8 channel NVR, such as the Camius IPVAULT1128PR, supports a maximum of 8 IP security cameras. To connect additional cameras beyond this limit, you would need to upgrade to a higher-capacity NVR (e.g., 16 Channel or 32 channels NVRs) or add a second NVR to your system. However, what sets the Camius 8 channel NVR apart is its exceptionally high recording bandwidth—112 Mbps—which is among the highest in the industry for this class, while Camius 16 channel NVRs offer 320 Mbps and 32 channel features, a whopping 640 Mbps bandwidth!
Most other manufacturers limit their 8 channel models to just 40 or 60 Mbps and their 16 channel systems to around 100 Mbps. These lower bandwidths restrict camera recording resolution, video quality, and smooth playback, live view, especially when multiple high-definition streams are involved.
