Why choose the Camius 4K 8 channel DVR?
This recorder is designed for installations that already have coaxial wiring in place and want to record in 4K without re-running cable. It accepts four types of analog camera signals: CVBS (standard definition legacy cameras), AHD, HD-TVI, and HD-CVI. Connect these cameras directly to the BNC ports on the back of the recorder. No signal converter or adapter is needed.
In addition to the 8 analog channels, the unit has 4 IP camera channels accessible over your network. Unused analog channels can be switched to IP mode in the recorder’s menu. If all 8 analog channels are switched to IP, the unit accepts up to 12 IP cameras total.

Disabling a single analog channel can increase the DVR’s IP camera recording bandwidth from 32Mbps to 96Mbps, boosting performance. The DVR can function as a security DVR or a hybrid XVR, enabling you to add analog and IP channels for a network video recording setup.

The Camius 4K DVR is compatible with analog cameras, supporting CVBS, AHD, CVI, and TVI mode with up to 8 megapixels resolutions.

What recording options does it have?
The recorder saves footage on a schedule, continuously, or when triggered by detection events. Detection types include standard motion detection with adjustable sensitivity zones, AI person detection, AI vehicle detection, sound detection, video tampering detection, perimeter line crossing, and perimeter intrusion. Each event sends a push alert to the Camius mobile app.
Storage
This unit does not include a hard drive. One internal SATA bay accepts drives up to 10TB. If you want a pre-installed hard drive, choose the 3TB, 4TB, or 8TB versions from the 8 channel DVR recorder collection.
Video output and monitoring
HDMI output delivers 4K resolution to any compatible monitor or TV. VGA output delivers 1080p for a second display. The Spot Out port provides a separate 1080p feed. All three outputs operate simultaneously.
Smart Motion Detection
With Camius DVRs, you can activate Smart Motion Detection to capture video when movement is detected. You can choose the target type, such as motion, vehicle, pedestrian, or both. Set up specific motion detection areas and customize your Camius analog and IP camera recording schedule.
